The new Peavey’s are cool in the fact that the drivers are angled up at the player. You'd be surprised how often I run into other musicians who wanna do a jam out on the road like that. The ELF head is capable of 130 watts at 8 ohms (1 cabinet) or 200 watts at 4 ohms (2 cabinets). Interested in any & all general info & impressions comparing these two. Jul 8, 2012 · A stacked pair of 2x8 cabs would be even more compact on a small, crowded stage. A 2x8 would also work nicely for me to take along on our RV vacations because of the small footprint. The specs (handwritten) on the jack plate are 350 watts and 4ohms. Fitting 10 big guys on most stages these days can be a challenge. Thanks! I was fortunate enough to try them in a live situation before I bought them and I A/B'd them with my 4x10 SWR cab, I felt the LDS cabs had more low end than the SWR.
